CH ComplianceHippo State and local filing guides
Editorial Policy

Factual guidance, automation, and monetization should never blur together.

ComplianceHippo exists to publish operationally useful guidance first. Revenue comes from referrals and sponsorships only when those relationships are disclosed and kept separate from the factual core of the page.

Editorial line

Guides should be readable without clicking a sponsor.

The page body, source links, and confidence note should stand on their own. A sponsored module should never be required to understand the filing task.

Automation

Automation is allowed, hidden authorship is not.

Normalized records and machine-generated drafts may be part of the workflow, but the page should still expose enough structure and sourcing for a reader to judge the quality of the result.

Revenue

Referral modules are labeled and policy-bound.

If a page recommends a partner, the recommendation should say whether compensation may be involved and why that handoff is useful for the reader’s situation.

Corrections

When a page is wrong, fix the page and leave a clearer confidence signal.

Compliance content ages badly if corrections stay implicit. The right response to uncertainty is a tighter note about the source state, not vaguer copy.
